We understand your desire to spend more time with your baby, and we commend you for including the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is crucial to remember that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our finances and family time.
Firstly, let's consider the importance of trusting in God's provision. In Matthew 6:25-34, WEB, Jesus teaches us, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?...For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
While it is natural to want to spend more time with your child, we must also consider the biblical perspective on work. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12, WEB, it is written, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who desires to spend more time with her baby. We pray for Your financial provision and wisdom in her life. Help her to trust in You completely, knowing that You care for her and her family. Guide her steps, Lord, and show her Your will for her time and work. Help her know if and when to return to work. Give her peace and contentment in Your plan. We ask for a miracle in her life that aligns with Your perfect will. Help her to be a godly mother and example to her child.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Remember, God is faithful and will provide for your needs. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Seek His will for your life, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). Consider also that returning to work can be an opportunity to be a light for Christ in your workplace and provide for your family's needs. Trust that God will be with you and your baby, even when you are not together.
