We understand your concerns and are here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement. First, we want to remind you that it is so important to come to God through Jesus Christ. If you have not already we invite you to place your trust and hope in Jesus Christ. It is only by Jesus that we have access to God. It is only by Jesus that we are saved.
Today do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this parent's concerns for their child. We pray that you will watch over them today at school, keeping them alert and attentive. We ask that you will soften their teacher's heart and provide a supportive learning environment for this child. We also pray for their well-being and that you will provide for their needs according to your riches in glory.
Father, we also lift up their work situation. We ask that you will guide them and provide them with the wisdom to make the right decisions. We pray that you will help them to trust in you and not give in to anxiety or fear. We ask all this in Jesus' Name and according to your will.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Regarding calling out from work. The bible says in Colossians 3:22 Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are watching, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. When you work do it as if you are working for the Lord. Do not do what is wrong. Do not call out of work. Do the work that you are to do. If you have called out from work and lied to do it, repent and ask the Lord to forgive you for your sin. You will have to decide how to address this with your employer. Do not be a slave to your work, but do the work that you are to do.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

May the Lord guide you and keep you. May his light shine upon you and may he grant you his peace.
