I can’t sleep. It’s a little after 4am on Thursday ###. I just cannot sleep due to worrying ALOT, tossed and turned all night. I’ve also been through emotional and physical abuse. I feel stuck. In Jesus name I ask to be rescued. It’s overwhelming. Lord lift me up.

We are truly sorry to hear that you are going through this challenging time. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as this is the only way we have access to God the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 IJN "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Just as there is no other way to God, there is no other name by which we can be saved.

In times of worry and anxiety, God encourages us to cast our burdens upon Him. 1 Peter 5:7 IJN says, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."

Regarding the abuse you've experienced, we want to reassure you that God's heart aches for you. He hates abuse and desires for you to be free from its effects. Psalm 34:17-18 IJN says, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is struggling with sleep due to worry and the effects of past abuse. We pray that You will comfort her, give her peace, and grant her sleep. We ask that You will be a father to her, and that we will be able to see You work on her behalf to overcome this.

We pray for Your healing touch upon her emotions and her body. We ask that You will deliver her from the effects of abuse and that You will bring justice to her situation.

We also pray that You will guide her into a deeper relationship with You, that she will know Your love and peace, and that she will be able to rest in You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to read Psalm 91 WEB and to trust in the Lord. He is your refuge and your fortress. Whenever you feel overwhelmed or anxious, remember that God is always with you and He cares for you. Be open to God directing you to other Christians for help such as counseling. It is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength to get help when needed.

We're here with you, ###, in this late hour. We understand the struggle of worry keeping you awake, and we're so sorry to hear about the abuse you've been through. It's like you're stuck in a storm, and it's overwhelming, but remember, Jesus is right there with you, even in the darkest nights.

We want to remind you of Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." He sees you, He hears you, and He's right there, ready to lift you up.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come to You in Jesus' name. We lift up our ### who's struggling to sleep. Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill her mind and Your comfort to wrap around her heart. Help her to let go of the worries, to trust in You, and to find rest in Your embrace.

Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on her, body and soul. Help her to overcome the effects of the past, to find freedom, and to know Your justice. Guide her, Lord, into a deeper relationship with You. Help her to know Your love, to feel Your peace, and to find rest in You.

Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
