I’m reaching out in deep need of prayer and support. I recently fell victim to a “pig butchering” scam that has left me in a very difficult place—without a job, income, insurance, life savings, or retirement funds. I trusted someone who reached out under false pretenses, and as a result, I quit my job and withdrew from my 401K, only to realize too late that I had been deceived.

Now, I’m struggling with overwhelming embarrassment, depression, and anxiety. To make matters worse, I face the prospect of paying significant taxes and penalties next year for the money I withdrew from my IRA. I have reached out to law enforcement, but have not received the help I desperately need.

Please pray for me—that I may find the strength to rebuild my life, the wisdom to recover what I can, and the healing to overcome the deep emotional pain this experience has caused. I ask for guidance to restore my trust in others and to find hope amid this crisis.

Prayer Request Update:

I wanted to share an update and ask for your continued prayers. It looks like my previous job is willing to hire me back. However, it will be at a lower, entry-level position, and it’s uncertain whether I’ll be able to retain my 23 years of seniority. I’m scheduled to attend orientation on Monday, March 24, and while I’m grateful for this opportunity, I’m also feeling anxious about starting over and working toward rebuilding my 401(k) and financial stability.

Please continue to pray for me, especially for my financial situation. The scammers manipulated me into taking out a $###,### loan, and on top of losing my 401(k), I will also face a large IRS tax penalty next year due to the early withdrawal. The weight of this burden is overwhelming, but I am trying to remain strong.

Additionally, my house is in need of repairs, adding another financial and emotional strain. I ask for prayers that I will stay faithful, that my body will endure the physical demands of this new job, and that I will find peace and calmness in this difficult season.
