When Adam and Eve believed Satan , and "sold out" to him in the Garden, some unpleasant "side effects" came upon us, from then right up till the New World .One of these "reminders" is death. How many times have we been "so close" to someone", and eventually they pass away.{Including our loved ones}It fell upon animals too{"All creation groans for deliverance"}We have a cat that used to run around and be playful, then that cat is 18 years old and mopes around, one day they're' not acting well, and you find out.kidney failure, and sooner or later, time to say goodbye. A mother, we were in the mothers womb, actually a part of her body, how much closer than that can you get?Yet they die, and you're still here. I've been through these losses of loved ones, and what comes to mind is that this is the price of living in a fallen world, after the sin of Adam. "For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all are made alive" "Through one man death entered in". But the flip side--one, for us saved,it's an advancement to the next level--"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.""To live is Christ, to die is gain". "Behold , I show you a mystery . We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. The dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air.And so shall we ever be with the Lord." But besides that, in the New Heaven and Earth--"And death shall be no more. Neither shall there be mourning and outcry or pain. For the former things are passed away."There was a song by the Carpenters ,"I'll say goodbye to love".Well we could change that to,"I'll say goodbye to death'.Instead of death making us say goodbye to others, we'll say goodbye to IT.Reversal of the fall.
