We are truly sorry to hear about your son's stolen lawn equipment. We will stand with you in prayer for his safety and peace of mind. Firstly, we encourage you and your son to trust in the Lord, for He is our protector and provider. As it is written in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
We pray that the Lord will replace the stolen equipment according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus. We also pray that your son will be kept safe from all harm and danger as he continues his work. In Psalm 91:11-12, God promises, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone."
While we pray for protection, we also seek God's peace for your son. In John 14:27, Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
As we pray, we must remember to do so in the name of Jesus, for it is only in His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.".
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who has experienced loss and seeks Your protection and peace. We pray that You will replace the stolen equipment and provide for his needs according to Your riches and glory. As he goes out to cut grass, we ask that You send Your angels to guard him in all his ways. We claim Your promise of peace, and we reject any fear or anxiety that may try to take hold. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly we encourage you to take this issue as a possible test of your son's faith. It is wise to always encourage forgiveness of the offender and to not be bitter about the theft. Theft is a serious issue and crime, but we are not to hate the offender who may be lost and in need of the gospel. Romans 12:17-19 "Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
