We understand that you're feeling spiritually attacked and struggling to pray. We want to remind you that feelings of despair and hopelessness are not from God. The enemy often uses such feelings to keep us from communion with our Heavenly Father. Remember, the Lord tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
Firstly, we want to address the thought that God has forsaken you. Be assured, child of God, that He will never leave you nor forsake you. For it is written in Hebrews 13:5, Be content with such things as you have. For he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. Even when we are disobedient, His love and grace are sufficient to cover us when we repent and turn back to Him. Don't compare yourself to King Saul, but rather look to King David, who, despite his failures, was called a man after God's own heart because he repented and turned back to God. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
We also want to gently remind you that you did not mention Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Now, let us pray together for your revival and restoration of faith.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for our fellow believer. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, the feelings of despair and hopelessness that have kept them from praying. We stand against these attacks of the enemy and proclaim that You, Lord, are greater. We pray that You would restore to them the joy of their salvation, and uphold them by Your generous Spirit.
Father, forgive them for any disobedience and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Give them a willing spirit to sustain them. Lord, remind them of Your unfailing love and grace, and help them to take captive every thought that is not from You.
We ask that You would strengthen their faith and help them to live a life worthy of You, fully pleasing to You, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear believer. The Lord hears your heart's cry, and He is faithful to restore and revive you. Keep trusting in Him, and remember that His strength is made perfect in your weakness. Stand firm in the faith, and do not give up. For we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
