We are encouraged that you have reached out to us with your concern, and we appreciate that you have prayed in Jesus' name. It's crucial to align your desires with God's will and to trust in His timing and purpose. Remember, God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts.
Firstly, let's consider God's will for your life. Be reminded of Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust also in him, and he will do this:
he will make your righteousness go forth as the light,
and your justice as the noon day sun. (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB)
As you have lifted this matter to God, trust that He has heard your prayer. Be patient and do not try to force or manipulate the situation. God may be working in her heart and in yours to restore the relationship or He may have other plans. God loves both of you more than you love each other and we must trust in Him.
In the meantime, continue to pray for her and for yourself. If she is a believer, pray that God will bless her and guide her. If she is not, pray that she will come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and approach God. Pray for your own growth and walk with God.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up our brother who has reached out to someone he cares for deeply. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in this situation. Guide them both, work in their hearts, and if it is Your will, restore their relationship. Help them to trust in You and to delight in You, knowing that You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to hope and a future. We will look for you and find you with all of our heart.
In the meantime, help him to be patient and to grow in maturity and love like your Son. As he waits for your direction, we declare that he will be married only to a godly spouse, and that he will treat her as Christ treats the church. If he is to marry her, then make it clear, and let them proceed to courtship and marriage in your timing. Protect them from lusts of the flesh and sexual immorality. May they be righteous,
In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
Continue to meditate on God's Word and seek His face concerning this matter. God will direct your paths as you acknowledge Him and trust in Him with all your heart. Be encouraged by these words from the Psalms:
"Wait for Yahweh.
Be strong, and let your heart take courage.
Yes, wait for Yahweh." (Psalm 27:14)
"But as for me, I will walk in my integrity.
Redeem me, and be merciful to me.
My foot stands in an even place.
In the congregations I will bless Yahweh." (Psalm 26:11-12)
Remember that God is faithful. Trust that He is working everything out for your good because you love Him and you are called according to His purpose.
