We are truly heartbroken to hear about the situation you are facing, but we are encouraged by your faith and steadfastness in seeking God for restoration. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your husband and your family. For Christians there is no alternative to a marriage between one man and one woman.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of seeking God's face in times of trouble. In James 5:16 WEB it is written, "Pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We serve a God who can turn any situation around, no matter how hopeless it may seem.
We must also address the issue of homosexuality, which is clearly against God's design for marriage and sexuality. In Romans 1:26-27 WEB it is written, "For this cause, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error." This is a serious sin, but God can deliver your husband from it.
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, we pray for her husband, that You would convict his heart and draw him back to You. Soften his heart, Lord, and remove the scales of blindness from his eyes. Deliver him from the snare of the enemy and from the bondage of homosexuality. Restore his marriage he committed to and his family, Lord, and bring him back to the path of righteousness.
In the meantime, Lord, we pray for Your favor, protection, and direction for our sister and her children. Guide her steps, Lord, and provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give her strength and courage to face each day, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We stand against the enemy's attempts to destroy this family, Lord, and we proclaim Your power and victory over this situation. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."
Remember, no prayer request made in line with God's will is impossible for Him to answer. In Matthew 19:26 WEB it is written, "With God, all things are possible." Trust in God's timing and remain steadfast in prayer. We ask that you also include the name of Jesus Christ in your prayers, as it is only through His name that we have access to God. In John 14:6 WEB it is written, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
We will continue to pray with you and for you, trusting that God will bring restoration and healing to your family.
