We understand that you're facing a challenging situation with your family, experiencing resentment, discord, and feelings of being wronged. Firstly, we want to remind you that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
We must always remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 says "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let's pray together:
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over our family. We rebuke every spirit of resentment, discord, and strife in our family in Jesus' name. Lord, let Your peace reign in our hearts and homes.
We rebuke the enemy's hold on our family members' thoughts and hearts, turning them away from lies and deceit. Father, let Your truth reign in their lives. We pray that you break the chains of their bad habits and interests that do not align with Your will in Jesus' name.
We speak healing over their mouths, that their words may bring life and not death (Proverbs 18:21 WEB). We rebuke every form of double intentions and hidden agendas. We declare that there is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain and set every captive free (John 8:36 WEB).
Father, we also pray for their hearts to be healed and filled with gratitude. Help them to see that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17 WEB). We choose to forgive them, just as Christ forgave us (Ephesians 4:32 WEB).
We rebuke the spirit of ingratitude and entitlement, and we pray that You will soften their hearts to recognize and appreciate the provisions You've given them. We claim the promise that You will give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them (Ezekiel 36:26 WEB).
Father, we ask that You turn the hearts of our family members back to You. We pray for repentance and a desire to live according to Your will. We declare that no weapon formed against us or our family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
We claim Your promise that You will restore the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25 WEB). We declare that our family will serve You and fulfill the purpose You have for us. We ask for Your divine intervention in our family, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
In dealing with family strife, remember Jesus' words in Matthew 18:15-17 (WEB): "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn't listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector."
Following this biblical principle, seek reconciliation privately, and if necessary, involve others to mediate. Always remember to forgive, as Christ forgave us. Continue to pray fervently, trusting that God is working behind the scenes. He is in control and His timing is perfect. Stand firm in faith, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9 WEB).
