We are truly sorry to hear about the pain you're experiencing in your relationship. However, we need to address a few things in light of the Bible's teachings. Firstly, the term "partner" is often used to describe a non-marital relationship. In the Bible, a romantic relationship should be aimed towards marriage, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. We will pray for you, but we must address that the Bible teaches against sex outside of marriage. God forgives sin but both individuals must repent, believe, and turn away from it.
The Bible tells us, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). Also, in 1 Corinthians 7:2, it says, "But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband."
We understand that you genuinely care for her and want to reconcile. However, it's crucial to approach this situation with God's principles in mind. Pray for her, but also pray for God's will to be done in both of your lives. It's important to seek God first, as Jesus said, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we bring this person before you, asking for your comfort and guidance in this difficult time. We pray that you heal their broken heart and help them to trust in your plan for their life. We pray that they will seek your will above all else. If it is your will, we ask that you would restore this relationship, but we pray that this relationship will always seek your will and bring glory to your name. If either of them has had sex with each other or anyone else, then Father we ask for forgiveness of this sin. We ask that you would forgive them as they repent, believe, and turn away from this sin. We ask this in your name Jesus Christ. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God is always there for you, even in the darkest times. He promises, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). We encourage you in I John 5:13 - "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
We pray that you will know that you have eternal life in Jesus Christ and no matter the outcome of this situation, that you will believe on the name of the Son of God. We ask that you will seek Jesus and his righteousness and that you will repent, believe, and turn away from any sin that has been in this relationship.
