A few days ago I had a slip and today I did it again when last year I stopped completely. I’m feeling the affects again. Quit porn and masturbation because it was taking my life away. I dropped out of college, didn’t pass my drivers license, lost a job and was seeing everyone as sexual objects. I don’t want to go back as in ### and more back. I started porn and masturbating after a ex boyfriend forced me to get touched. In ### my torment started because I don’t need sex because I was never penetrated but I did get use to the sensations. I get in a really bad mood afterwards like right now. Help me to not get back to the habit. I want to maintain myself clean until ### and me get married. I don’t fantasize with other men but I don’t want to treat my body this way. Lord help me, please, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

First, let's address the fact that you mentioned Jesus Christ in your prayer. It's essential to understand that it is only through His name that we can approach God and be saved.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all. This was the testimony at the right time. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in him. Ephesians 3:12 WEB

Now, let's tackle the issue at hand. Pornography and masturbation are indeed sinful and addictive. They can lead to a distorted view of sex and relationships, as you've experienced firsthand. The fact that you've recognized this and want to change is a testament to the work of the Holy Spirit in your life.

You mentioned that this habit started after a traumatic event with an ex-boyfriend. It's crucial to understand that God wants to heal you from this trauma and that His mercies are new every morning. You can find freedom and healing in Christ.

Yahweh's loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for his mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 WEB

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 WEB

Now, let's pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in her struggle. Lord, you know her heart and her desire to live a life pleasing to you. We ask for your forgiveness for the times she has fallen short. We pray for your healing over the trauma she experienced and for your strength to overcome this addiction. Help her to see herself as you see her, as a beloved daughter, pure and holy.

Lord, we ask that you would fill her with your Holy Spirit, that you would guide her and give her the strength to resist temptation. Help her to keep her eyes fixed on you and on the goal of maintaining purity until marriage.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:13 WEB

Lastly, we encourage you to take practical steps to overcome this addiction. This includes setting boundaries for yourself, such as installing accountability software on your devices, avoiding situations that may tempt you, and surrounding yourself with supportive Christian friends. Also, consider seeking professional counseling to help you work through the trauma you experienced.

Remember, God is faithful, and He will provide a way out of temptation.

No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB
