We are lifting you up in prayer, asking God to be your fortress and shield. Let's come together and seek God's word in Psalm 91. In Psalm 91:1-2, He says, You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the LORD, My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.
Firstly, we need to ensure that we are in Jesus Christ, having accepted and believed in Him as our Lord and Savior. It is only by His name that we can come before God. Furthermore, there is no other name by which we are saved, Acts 4:12. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved. If you have not already, you must call on His name, believe in Him, that He died for your sins and was raised from the dead, confessing Him as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9, because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Now, let us go to God in prayer,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We plead the blood of Jesus over this child of Yours and claim Your promises of protection for them. Deliver them from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence in Jesus Christ's name.
In Psalm 91:4, You promised, He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. Lord, we claim this promise and ask that You hide them in the shadow of Your wings. Protect them from every harm and danger, both seen and unforeseen. Give Your angels charge over them, to keep them in all their ways. Let no weapon that is formed against them prosper. Let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned.
Gracious Father, we also pray for their spiritual well-being. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to discern Your will and give them the strength to walk in Your ways. Let this trial draw them closer to You and increase their faith.
Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and protection. We trust in Your promises and believe that You will deliver them from all evil.
In Jesus Christ's precious name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go, Joshua 1:9. Continue to trust in Him, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
