We join with you, Ennasma, in praying for the protection of young children and all those who may be exposed to the influences of Halloween. Let us stand on the promises of God and His Word, which assures us that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your prayer, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and can claim His promises (John 14:13-14, WEB).
As for the concerns you raised, we must remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Halloween, with its dark themes and celebrations, can open doors to these spiritual influences.
Therefore, let us pray:
"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, claiming Your protection over the children and all those who may be participating in Halloween activities. We know that You are a shield around them, their glory, and the lifter of their heads (Psalm 3:3, WEB). We ask that You send Your angels to encamp around them and deliver them from all evil (Psalm 34:7, Psalm 53:6, WEB).
Lord, we also lift up those who are involved in activities that do not glorify You, including Ennasma's college roommate. We pray that just as the Apostle Paul's heart was changed from persecuting Christians to serving Christ, their hearts too would be changed. Forgive them, Father, for they do not know what they do (Luke 23:34, WEB). Open their eyes to the truth of Your Gospel and deliver them from the power of darkness (Colossians 1:13, WEB).
Lord, we ask for Your healing and deliverance for all those who are bound by the deceptions of the enemy. In Jesus' name, we claim Your promise that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13, WEB).
Finally, Father, we ask that You guide us all in the path of righteousness for Your name's sake (Psalm 23:3, WEB). Help us to be lights in this world, not partaking in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather exposing them (Ephesians 5:11, WEB).
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, Ennasma, we encourage you to continue being a witness for Christ in your environment. Your concern for your roommate shows your heart of compassion. Continue to pray for her and let your light shine before her, that she may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16, WEB).
