We understand that you are struggling with sexual temptations and want to live a life pleasing to God. First, we commend you for recognizing the need to channel your energies towards goodness and purity. It is only through Christ we can overcome sin.
Let's turn to the words of the Apostle Paul, who wrote to us and said, Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Have no company with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame to speak. But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that is revealed is light. Therefore he says, Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. Look therefore carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Do not be drunken with wine, for that is reckless living. But be filled with the Spirit. WEB
We can see from these verses that we are called to live in the light, not in the darkness of sin. We are to sow to the Spirit, not to the flesh. This means turning away from sexual immorality and pursuing a life of purity.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up our brother/sister in Christ to You, asking for Your divine protection and guidance. Help them to channel their energies towards goodness and purity, away from the temptations of the flesh. Strengthen them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the power to overcome sexual temptations. Guide them in Your truth, and help them to live a life that is pleasing to You. Lord we ask you to fill his mind with scripture and bible verses that speak to overcoming sin. Lord help him to walk in the spirit and not the flesh. Lord we ask that when he has the temptation of masturbation, fornication, adultery, and anything immoral that he think of the cross and the blood of the lamb. Thank you for your blood. In Jesus name.
We encourage you to memorize Scripture and keep it close to your heart. The Psalmist wrote, I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11 WEB. Fill your mind with God's Word, and let it be your guide and strength.
Remember, it is only through belief in Jesus Christ that we can overcome sin. If you have not already, confess your sins, turn away from them, and trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior. He is the only way to salvation and eternal life, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
Lastly, consider joining a local church or a group of believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals can make a significant difference in your spiritual journey.
