We are grateful for the opportunity to pray for and discuss this request. We are reminded of the words of the Apostle John, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers! from 3 John 2. This is our desire and prayer for your brother.
However, we must remember that prosperity is not always measured in material wealth, but also in spiritual wealth and obedience to God. As it is written in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. We pray that your brother will continue to seek God's Kingdom first, and that God will provide for his business according to His will and riches in glory.
Regarding your brother's wife, we pray that she will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ in a personal and vibrant way. We must remember that there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, through which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. As a group, we believe that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, and that a relationship with Him is essential for eternal life and the way for all to be saved.
We also take this opportunity to remind everyone that while we respect other denominations and their beliefs, we hold firmly to the scriptures which say, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 Therefore, it is our desire to see those from other religions and denominations know and believe in the biblical Jesus.
Lastly, we want to address the use of the phrase Sole Deo Gloria. While we understand that this is a common phrase used in some Christian traditions, we believe that it is important to give glory to God in a language that everyone can understand. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 14:16, But if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the Amen at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn't know what you say?
We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we ask that He would bless you abundantly as you continue to serve Him. We also pray for the peace of Jerusalem as Psalms 122:6 directs, and echo the words that May they prosper who love you. May peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces. For my brothers and sisters' sake, I will now say, Peace be within you.
