Prediabetes

I got told I’m approaching prediabetes a year ago and now I’m seeing an increase in symptoms. I’m a student so my say over what I eat is not very high, and I don’t know how to manage this. Yesterday I felt complete numbness in a part of my foot for the first time and it’s so scary. I want to pray to God that he’ll bring back feeling in my foot and help me reverse what signs I have in a miracle and help me lose the weight I need to be healthy. Praise God, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our beloved in prayer. Lord, You know the struggles they're facing with their health, and we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. Specifically, we pray for the complete restoration of feeling in their foot and the reversal of any prediabetes symptoms they're experiencing. Lord, guide them in their diet and lifestyle, and help them lose the weight needed to be healthy. Give them strength and wisdom to manage their health even in their current living situation. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

We're glad that you're reaching out to God in this time of need. Remember, God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our health. As it is written in the WEB, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22

However, we want to remind you that while God can do miracles, He also expects us to steward our bodies well. The Apostle Paul said, Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Given your living situation, it might be difficult to control what you eat, but try to make healthy choices whenever possible. Perhaps you can talk to those who prepare your meals and explain your health situation. Also, consider finding ways to increase your physical activity, which can help manage your weight and blood sugar levels.

Lastly, we noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It's important to remember that Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. It's only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me. Since I posted this I’ve started and planned a routine of walking at least 30-40 minutes a day on my walking pad (about a mile and a half a day) and I’ve talked to my family about keeping meals low in sugar to gradually lose weight. I’ll keep praying to Jesus and praising God every day for what they’ve given me and the miracles they continue to prove are possible.
