We understand that you're going through a tremendously painful situation, ###, and our hearts go out to you. It's natural to feel hurt, angry, and embarrassed when facing the infidelity of a spouse. However, it's crucial to align our hearts with God's will and His word.
Firstly, we commend you for coming before the Lord in your distress and for ending your prayer in Jesus' name. It's important to call on His name as it is the only name by which we can be saved.
The Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, "Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Seeking revenge is not ours to take, but God's. He sees your pain and will deal with your husband's actions justly and fairly.
It's also important to remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). While infidelity is a grave sin, God's desire is for reconciliation and restoration, if possible. This does not mean you should ignore or accept the sin, but rather, seek God's will for your marriage.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord, we come before You, lifting up ### in her distress. Lord, You see her pain, her embarrassment, and her anger. We ask that You heal her broken heart and provide her with a supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to rest in the knowledge that You are a just God and that vengeance belongs to You alone.
Guide her steps, Lord, as she navigates this difficult journey. If it is Your will, we pray for a miraculous restoration of her marriage, for hearts to be turned towards each other and towards You. Give ### the strength to forgive, as You have forgiven us all.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of revenge and ask that You fill ### with Your Holy Spirit, guiding her every thought and action. Remind her of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, even in this dark hour.
Finally we pray that your husband will repent from his actions and you both can start the journey to a restored marriage.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In this waiting period, immerse yourself in God's word. Allow His words to heal you. They are Spirit and they are life. There is no pain and no brokenness that is beyond His healing.
