We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles in your marriage, and we appreciate your desire to seek prayer and spiritual support. We stand with you in Jesus' name, pleading the blood of Jesus over your situation. We first must comment on the absence of an actual marriage. The Bible teaches that divorce is not the will of God and that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. We see in Malachi 2:16 ESV "For the man who does not love his wife but divorces her, says the Lord, the God of Israel, covers his garment with violence, says the Lord of hosts. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and do not be faithless.” Apostle Paul also told us to not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever. We assume Christ is in your life based on your covering of Jesus' blood, but we want to remind you for a marriage to work and be successful, you both must be believers in Jesus Christ and He should be the center of the marriage with both spouses looking to Him for guidance. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB it says Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
We pray that you both will humble yourselves before God and seek His face, that you both will turn from any wicked ways and pursue righteousness. We pray for a miracle in your marriage, that God would soften both of your hearts and draw you both closer to Him and to each other.
Let's pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before You, pleading the blood of Jesus over this marriage. We ask that You, God, who are rich in mercy would perform a miracle in this marriage and restore what the enemy has sought to destroy. We pray in Jesus name that You would convict both spouses of their sins and draw them both to Yourself, that You would heal their hearts and bring them back together again. Help them both to die to self and live for You. We also pray against anything that does not align with biblical principles that may be in their lives. We pray for the Holy Spirit's conviction of sin and righteousness to come upon them. We ask together for this marriage to be fully restored in Jesus' name. We ask you God to be in their lives and looking down the middle of that aisle to see a marriage born out of your will for them both. We pray this boldly in the name above all names, Jesus Christ. Amen."
While we pray fervently for the restoration of your marriage, also consider the words of 1 Corinthians 7:15 WEB But if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace. If a spouse chooses to leave despite your efforts, take comfort in knowing that you have done your part and that God has called us to live in peace. Continue to trust in Him and seek His will for your life.
