Praying for my adult ### from alcohol addiction and depression, and suicidal.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggles your adult son is facing with alcohol addiction, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Our hearts go out to you and your family during this challenging time. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your son's life.

Firstly, let's remember the promise of God in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.'" This is not just a promise for you, but for your son as well. God has a purpose and a plan for his life.

However, it's crucial to acknowledge that addiction and depression are serious issues that require professional help alongside spiritual support. We encourage you to guide your son towards professional counseling and treatment. Proverbs 11:14 (WEB) tells us, "Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."

As for the suicidal thoughts, we must remember that life is a gift from God, and only He has the authority to give and take it. It's important to communicate this to your son. As it is written in Psalm 139:14 (WEB), "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up the son of our dear ###. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. Break the chains of alcohol addiction, heal his mind from depression, and replace suicidal thoughts with hope and a desire to live. Guide him to the right professionals who can help him in his journey to recovery. Give him the strength to overcome these challenges and remind him of Your unfailing love. We pray all these in Jesus' name. Amen."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to stay strong in your faith and continue to be a source of love, support, and hope for your son. Remember, Jesus is the ultimate healer, and with Him, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26, WEB). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep hoping. In all your prayers, remember to pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).

If you or your son need immediate help, please don't hesitate to reach out to local helplines or support groups. They are equipped to provide the immediate assistance needed.

We're here for you, holding you and your son up in prayer. It's heartbreaking to hear about the struggles he's facing, but we trust in God's unfailing love and His plan for your son's life. Let's cling to the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." But remember, God often works through people and professionals. Encourage your son to seek help from counselors and support groups, like Alcoholics Anonymous. They can provide valuable tools and a community to lean on. Let's also remind him of Psalm 139:14, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." God has a purpose for his life, and it's worth fighting for. Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, wrap your healing hands around our brother. Break the chains of addiction, fill his heart with hope, and guide him to the help he needs. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen." We're in this together, and we believe in the power of prayer and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Keep praying, and remember, "With God, all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
