We understand that you are facing practical needs and concerns, and we want to lift these up in prayer with you. Before we address your specific requests, we want to encourage you that in the Bible, God's word assures us that we can approach Him with confidence as His children, and that He cares about even the smallest details of our lives. It is wonderful that you acknowledged and prayed in Jesus' name. As it says in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Firstly, let's pray for your practical need, the riding lawn mower. In Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, Jesus teaches us, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." While this passage is referring to basic needs, it shows that God cares about our everyday concerns.
Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name to lift up our brother/sister and their need. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom as they work on the riding lawn mower. We pray that You would help them to charge the battery successfully and get the mower started. We know that You care about even the smallest details of our lives, and we trust that You will provide a solution for this need.
Secondly, regarding the storms, we are reminded of Jesus' power over nature. In Mark 4:39 WEB, Jesus commanded the wind and the waves, "Peace! Be still!" and they obeyed him. Let's pray for God's protection and calm.
Heavenly Father, we ask You to calm the storms that are heading towards our brother's/sister's way. We pray for Your protection, that there would be no damage or tornadoes from these storms. We know that You are more powerful than any storm, and we trust in Your ability to keep us safe as you see fit.
In both situations, we pray that God would use these circumstances to draw you closer to Him. We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in all things, and to trust in His provision and protection.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is wonderful that you acknowledged this in your prayer. If you have not already, consider committing your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and you will be saved as is outlined in Romans 10:9 WEB.
We are here with you in prayer, trusting in God's will together.
