We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle your child is facing with drugs. We know that this is a difficult time for you as a parent and it is important to remember the power of prayer and the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
Firstly, let us address the issue of drugs from a biblical perspective. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor God with our bodies. The use of drugs is a form of defilement.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB: "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
We must also remember that God is able to deliver your child from this bondage. No addiction is too strong for the power of Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Let us pray together for your child's deliverance:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this child to You. Lord, You know the struggle they are facing with drugs, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Break the chains of addiction in their life, Father. Give them the strength to resist the temptation and the courage to seek help.
We pray for their complete deliverance and restoration. Guide them back to You, Lord, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Give them a new heart and a new spirit, that they may live for You and You alone.
We also pray for the one who submitted this request, give them the peace that passes all understanding, the patience, wisdom, and love to support their child in Jesus name.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Continue to pray for your child and trust in the Lord. Stand on His promises and believe in the power of prayer. Encourage your child to seek godly counsel and support, and to surrender their life to Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can set them free and give them a new life.
And as before, do not lose hope. Keep believing and keep praying. God is faithful, and He will hear your prayers. He loves your child even more than you do, and He wants the best for them and will give them the victory in Jesus name.
