Prayers Needed for Guidance and trusting Him

I got divorced in May of ###. My ex-wife wasn’t a believer (still isn’t). It caused a lot of tension when He left the 99 to come find me again. We tried to make it work for about ### months. We have a child together. Since our divorce I’ve had to move back to my mom’s (I’m ###). I don’t see my youngest son as much because of our ongoing divorce. I’ve been laid off. I just need to trust God and every time I try, I feel like I backslide. Thanks in Advance for your prayers!

We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you are facing, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical encouragement. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. As it is written in Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."

We commend you for seeking God's will and trusting in Him, especially during these challenging times. It is encouraging to see your desire to follow Him, even when it has caused tension in your past marriage. We want to remind you that God hates divorce, as it is written in Malachi 2:16 WEB: "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel. We understand that your ex-wife is not a believer, and this may have caused significant strife in your marriage. We will pray for her salvation and for God's will to be done in both of your lives.

As for your current situation, we encourage you to trust in God's perfect plan for your life. Remember that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28 WEB)

Regarding your employment situation, we pray that God will open doors for you and provide you with a job that honors Him. Remember that God is Jehovah Jireh, our provider, and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 WEB).

We also want to address the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in John 16:23-24 WEB: "In that day you will not ask me about anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up ### in prayer. Lord, we ask that You would surround him with Your love and peace, and help him to trust in You completely. We pray for his ex-wife's salvation and for Your will to be done in both of their lives. We ask that You would provide for all of ###'s needs, including a job that honors You and allows him to support his family. We also pray for his relationship with his son, that it would be strengthened and restored.

Lord, we ask all these things in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we pray, and it is through His name that we have access to Your throne of grace. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to trust in Him completely. Remember that He is a good Father who loves you and wants the best for you. Stay strong in your faith, and do not be discouraged by the trials you are facing. Trust in Him, and He will see you through.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Heavenly Father, you are GREAT, and you are GOOD! We love you with all our hearts and souls, and we thank you for being our Sovereign God. Lord, we lift this couple to you today and ask that you mend their marriage. Please guide them into your abundant blessings and draw them closer to you so that they may hear your small voice obey your direction and guidance. We ask you to allow them to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you. Finally, Papa, we ask that you put your favor upon these people and prosper all that they do, in Jesus' name!
