We are with you in spirit, lifting up your son before the throne of grace. Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your grace, protection, and healing for this dear mother's son. We know that You are faithful and that Your love for him is unfailing.
Lord, as he embarks on this job laying cable as an electrician, we ask for Your hedge of protection around him. Keep him safe from all accidents and mishaps. Guide his hands and give him the strength and wisdom he needs to perform his duties excellently.
We also pray for his deliverance from substance abuse. Lord, You have made a way of escape for us from every kind of evil. We ask that You break the chains of addiction in his life and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the courage to make godly choices.
Surround him with Your favor and goodness, Lord. Let him experience Your peace that transcends all understanding. Minister to him in those moments when he feels weak and vulnerable. Remind him that You are always with him and that You will never leave him nor forsake him.
Father, we pray that this time away will be a time of reflection and drawing closer to You. May he come to know You better and may this journey lead him to a deeper relationship with You through Jesus Christ. If he has not already done so, we pray he will believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. For there is no other name under Heaven by which we must be saved. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear mother. God loves your son even more than you do. He is pursuing him and will never give up on him. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
Stand strong in the faith and continue to intercede for your son. As you pray, remember that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16b WEB. Trust that God is at work in his life, even now.
