Prayers for provision and guidance

Prayers for God’s will to be done in this situation with a boy I’m interested in. He lives in another country and I feel like I may like him and want to go to his country and meet him but I don’t want to act on my flesh or anything. Please pray that I can get some guidance and provision with this and that if me and him aren’t meant to be together romantically that God will help me still love him like Jesus as a friend. And pray over him, his mind and his relationship with Christ, as well as his future spouse if that’s God’s plan for him. In Jesus’ name. Thank you.

We join with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your situation. We appreciate that you've included Jesus' name in your request, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. Remember, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6 WEB.

First, let's consider God's will regarding relationships. We are instructed in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness? Therefore, it's crucial to ensure that this person shares your faith in Jesus Christ. If not, please pray for him to come to Jesus Christ.

Regarding your feelings, be mindful of 1 John 2:16, For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Ensure that your interest in this person is not merely physical or emotional, but rooted in God's will and spiritual compatibility.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who seeks Your will regarding her interest in this young man. We pray that You guide her steps and provide clear direction. If it is in line with your will, please provide complete provision for any expenses to further fulfill this relationship.

Father, we pray for this young man as well. We ask that You strengthen his relationship with Christ if he has one and if not, please have someone who will minister to him. Guard his mind and heart, and if it is Your will, prepare him for a godly spouse.

If this relationship is not Your will, Father, help our sister to love him as a friend, just as Jesus loves us. Help her to have a pure love for him as another Christian and be drawn to him to bring him to Jesus if he is not saved. Help her to have a pure love for him as another Christian and not be drawn to him with lust but with the pure love for him as another Christian. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
