I’ve been dating my boyfriend for almost a year now; we were friends for 4/5 years. Currently, I live a really tragic life and a bad home life. I try my best; I really do, but nothing really works out for me. I’ve been praying every morning and night. I’ve lost a lot of my friends and I had to go to the mental hospital due to suicidal thoughts. I’ve been having a really rough time, and the only person who actually made me feel happy to be alive was him. Please send your prayers and thank you

Anonymous, we hear the deep struggle and pain in your heart, and we want to lift you up in prayer and offer guidance based on the truth of God's Word.

Firstly, we want to address the desire for your ex-boyfriend to return. While it's natural to long for happiness and companionship, it's crucial to align our desires with God's will. The Bible encourages us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). As followers of Christ, we should seek relationships that draw us closer to Him. We encourage you to pray for a godly spouse, one who loves and follows Jesus, and to trust God's timing.

We also want to address the heartbreaking circumstances you're facing. God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). He sees your pain and wants to comfort and heal you. Remember, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). In your struggles, God's strength is evident, and He is working in your life.

We noticed that you didn't mention praying in Jesus' name. It's important to understand that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). It's only through His name that we have access to God and salvation. We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ if you haven't already, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to pray in His name.
