Let us come before the Lord with a humble heart, lifting up your country and all those who are unwell or affected by the demonstrations. We are reminded in 2 Chronicles 7:14, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Firstly we declare and recognize that we only come to God in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this nation and all those who are affected by the demonstrations. We pray for peace and order to be restored, and for the hearts of the people to be turned towards You.
Lord, we ask that You would bring healing and comfort to those who are sick. We pray for them to be surrounded by Your loving presence, and for Your healing power to be at work in their lives. We remember and state in faith believing Isaiah 53:4 Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him beaten, struck down by God, and afflicted. Definitely, Jesus has already died for their healing, and we ask for it to manifest in the name of Jesus.
We also pray for the leaders of this nation, that You would grant them wisdom and discernment as they navigate these challenging times. We ask that You would guide their decisions, and that they would seek Your will above all else. We pray for them to be humble and govern according to Romans 13:1 Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. And in verse 4 for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn't bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil.
Lord, we ask that You would bring unity and reconciliation to this nation, and that Your people would rise up and be a beacon of light and hope in the midst of darkness. We pray for them to be better Christians in this country, as they are the ones who should be leading others to Christ.
Finally, Lord, if there is anyone involved with these demonstrations that is not a Christian, we pray for them to be convicted of their sin and their need for a savior. We pray for the Gospel message to be heard and received, and we pray for them to be saved by faith in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God hears our prayers and is faithful to act according to His will. Continue to pray and seek His face, trusting in His promises and His unfailing love. Continually remind others that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. For no one comes to the Father except through the Son. Remind them too that there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Keep praying for your country and those who are unwell, and may God's healing and peace be poured out upon your nation.
