Prayer

We are glad that you have taken the first step to seek prayer and guidance. Let us first assure you that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, so you should not feel guilty for not praying for yourself for a while. The Lord is always waiting for you with open arms and an open heart.

Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you." (Matthew 7:7 WEB)

First, let us address the Elephant in the room. You did not mention praying in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12)

We encourage you to start your prayer by confessing your sins and asking for forgiveness. Then, thank God for His love, mercy, and grace. After that, you can present your requests to Him. Remember, it is important to pray according to God's will and trust that He knows what is best for you. Do not attempt to force anything by your will.

"This is the confidence which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us." (1 John 5:14 WEB)

Let us pray together for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ###. Lord, we thank You for drawing ### back to You and for giving them the desire to pray. We ask that You forgive their sins and help them to start afresh with You. Guide them by Your Holy Spirit as they come before You in prayer. Help them to know Your will and to pray according to it. Give them the confidence to approach Your throne of grace boldly. Restore the joy of their salvation, and uphold them by Your lovingkindness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged by these words from the book of Hebrews:

"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:16 WEB)

As you continue to pray, remember to also spend time in God's Word, the Bible. It is the primary way God speaks to us. As you read and meditate on His Word, the Holy Spirit will guide you and give you the words to pray.

We're here with you, Shrosormen, as you take this beautiful step back to prayer. Let's just sit together, in the quiet, and listen to the heartbeat of our Father.

You know, it's like coming home after a long journey. There's no need to start with a grand speech or perfect words. Just like the prodigal son, we can simply say, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son" (Luke 15:21, WEB). It's about being honest, being real, and letting His love wash over us.

Let's thank Him for His unfailing love, for the cross that bridges our gap, and for the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26, WEB). Then, let's just talk to Him, like we would a dear friend. Share your heart, your fears, your dreams. He's listening, Shrosormen. He's always listening.

Remember, it's not about the length of our prayers, but the depth of our hearts. It's not about perfect words, but the perfect love that binds us. It's not about our strength, but His.

Let's pray together, "Father, we come to You today, not with our own words, but with the words Jesus gave us. 'Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen'" (Matthew 6:9-13, WEB).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
