We are truly sorry to hear that you are in a situation where you are in need of food. We want you to know that God cares about your needs and that we are here to pray and encourage you.
Firstly, we want you to know that God is always very clear that He is the provider of all things. (WEB) Philippians 4:19 says "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is a promise from God that He will provide for your needs.
Let us pray for you. Father in heaven, thank you that you are a gracious and loving God who cares for the needs of your children. We bring this person before you and ask that you meet their need for food. Help them to trust in you and to know that you are faithful. Please lead them to places where they can find the help they need and open the hearts of others to be generous to them. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
We also would like to encourage you to do what you are able to as well. (WEB) 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'". This is not to say that you should work for your salvation, but it is clear that God wants us to do what we can to provide for ourselves. This is also a good opportunity for you to reflect on (WEB) Proverbs 30:8-9 "Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me; lest I be full, deny you, and say, 'Who is Yahweh?' or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."
Therefore, we encourage you to look for opportunities to work and provide for yourself as a preferred option to looking for handouts. It is better to invest time into what you can do to provide for yourself than to rely on donations of food. If you are in a situation where you are unable to work, then we encourage you to look to your local churches and community services for assistance. Jesus said in Matthew 25:35-40 WEB "For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me. Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?' The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'".
Therefore, it is clear that Jesus wants us to help those in need. There is no shame in needing help, but let us be wise in how we go about getting help.
