We understand that you are going through a challenging situation, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. In all circumstances, we are called to seek God's will and trust in His justice.
Firstly, it's important to remember that our ultimate trust is in God, not in man or systems. As it is written in Psalm 118:8-9 WEB:
"It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man.
It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes."
While you are seeking justice in this world, also seek God's face and trust that He will vindicate you in His way.
Regarding your prayer request, we pray that the mediation will be successful, and that God's will be done. We pray that if it is His will, you will receive what is rightfully yours. However, we must also remember that our ultimate goal should be reconciliation and forgiveness, as modeled by Jesus Christ. As Jesus said in Matthew 5:44 WEB:
"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
Praying for your former employer is as important as praying for yourself. It’s important that you ask the Lord to let the employer learn a painful lesson for unfair dismissal, but also pray that they may come to a knowledge of the truth and treat others fairly and with kindness. Pray that God will soften their hearts and bring them to repentance. Pray also that they may be used to further the kingdom of God and glorify His name in the future.
In addition, it's crucial to ensure that your actions align with biblical principles. In Romans 12:19 WEB, it is written:
"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
We must trust that God will bring justice in His time and in His way.
It is also important to make sure that all our prayers are done in Jesus Christ, as there is no other name by which we can be saved (see Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing this challenging situation. We pray for Your guidance and wisdom throughout this process. We ask that Your will be done in the mediation, and that You will provide what is rightfully theirs according to Your divine plan.
Lord, we also pray for the former employer. We ask that You soften their hearts and bring them to repentance. May they learn from this experience and treat others with fairness and kindness. We pray that they may come to a knowledge of the truth and be used to further Your kingdom and glorify Your name.
Help our brother/sister to trust in You, not in man or systems. Help them to forgive and seek reconciliation, just as Jesus modeled for us.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
