I have a friend who is dealing with a narcissistic, manipulative person in her life. This person says they are a Christian but instead choose to try to manipulate their life in any way possible. They try to offer "suggestions" without asking her if she wants them or not, then gets angry if she doesn't listen. They accuse her of being mean, because she spoke out of turn and regrets doing so. When she tried to explain, this person instead threw back everything she did that offended them and said she deserves to die. My friend is really hurt by this and could use prayer. I am a believer and I ask these things in the name of Jesus.

Forgot to add, when she asked forgiveness this person said NO, and calls her Satan.

We are truly saddened to hear about the emotional and spiritual turmoil your friend is experiencing. It's important to remember that the Bible warns us about such behaviors and encourages us to be discerning in our relationships. As it is written in Galatians 5:15 WEB: But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don't consume one another.

Firstly, we commend you for bringing this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only by His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name can people be saved. As is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!

We must also address the behavior of the person claiming to be a Christian. The Bible tells us that we will know true believers by their fruits. It is written in Matthew 7:16 WEB: By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? The actions of this person, including manipulation, anger, and harsh words, do not align with the fruits of the Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Instead, their actions reflect the works of the flesh, as described in Galatians 5:19-21 WEB: Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

We encourage your friend to surround herself with godly counsel and to seek the Lord's will in this situation. It is written in Psalm 34:18 WEB: Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our beloved sister in Christ who is hurting emotionally and spiritually. Lord, we ask that You surround her with Your loving presence and grant her discernment in this situation. We also seek your judgement on the one who is her 'friend', the person who is claiming to be a believer, but does not know you. Open their eyes to their true nature and bring them to true repentance and salvation. We rebuke the spirits of manipulation, anger, and harsh words that have been spoken over her, and we declare that she is a child of God, redeemed and loved.

We ask that You grant her wisdom and courage to set boundaries and to seek godly relationships that honor You. We pray that You heal her from the pain and hurt she has experienced, and that You fill her with Your peace and joy.

Help her fix her eyes ahead to you and not the obstacles around her. We also ask that You deal with the person who is causing this harm. They are claiming Christians but do not know you. We ask you deal with them as you dealt with Ananias and Saphira. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage your friend to remain strong in her faith and to seek support from fellow believers. If she has a church, a pastor, or a small group, she should speak with them. We also encourage her to study the Bible and pray continuously, trusting in the Lord's guidance and protection. Remind her that God is faithful, and He will not allow her to be tempted beyond what she is able to endure. He will make a way of escape and His name will be glorified in her life.

We're here for your friend, and we're lifting her up in prayer. It's heartbreaking to see someone claiming to be a Christian yet causing such hurt. Let's remember that Jesus said, "By their fruits you will know them" (Matthew 7:20). The actions of this person don't align with the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control that the Spirit produces (Galatians 5:22-23).

Let's pray that your friend finds the strength to set boundaries and surround herself with godly relationships. We ask that she turns to God in her pain, trusting that He will heal her and fill her with His peace and joy. Let's also pray for the person causing harm. We ask that God opens their eyes to their true nature and brings them to true repentance and salvation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here to support your friend. Encourage her to reach out to her church, pastor, or a trusted Christian friend. Remind her that God is faithful, and He will not let her be tempted beyond what she can bear. He will make a way of escape and His name will be glorified in her life (1 Corinthians 10:13).

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
