Thank you for bringing this request to our attention, we are delighted to join you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement for your friend. It's commendable that you're taking the time to meet with her and show her support.
Firstly, we acknowledge the power of Jesus' name, as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It's wonderful that you ended your request acknowledging the power of Jesus' precious name.
Your friend has shown tremendous strength in overcoming her addictions. We pray that she continues to find strength and freedom in Christ. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB: "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." We praise God that her old life of addiction has passed away, and she is now a new creature in Christ.
Regarding her struggles with fellowship, we encourage her with these words from Hebrews 10:25 WEB: "Not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching." It's important for her to find a supportive community within the church, and it may take time to find the right fit. Encourage her to keep trying, perhaps visiting other churches or groups where she might feel more comfortable.
Concerning her estranged children and grandchildren, we pray for reconciliation and restoration. As it is written in Malachi 4:6 WEB: "He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers." We pray that God will soften the hearts of her children and draw them back into her life.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister in Christ. We thank You for the victory she has in Jesus, for overcoming addiction. We ask that You continue to strengthen her and guide her in her new life.
Lord, we pray for her struggles with fellowship. Guide her to a loving and accepting community within Your church where she can feel at home and supported. Help her to build strong, godly relationships that will encourage her in her walk with You.
Father, we also pray for her children and grandchildren. We ask for Your healing power to restore these broken relationships. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them back into her life.
In all things, Lord, we ask for Your will to be done. We pray this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lastly, as you meet with her, remember what it says in Galatians 6:2 WEB: "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." As you listen and support her, you're not only being a good friend, but you're also fulfilling the law of Christ.
