Please pray for our very angry moody high school teenage daughter. She does not want to live with us and does not want to go to counseling or take her medication to help with her moods and anger.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you and your daughter are facing. Let us pray to God to grant you wisdom, patience, and love as you navigate this challenging time.
Let us remember:
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. You, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:1-4 WEB
Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child: but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. Proverbs 22:15 WEB
He who withholds the rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him diligently. Proverbs 13:24 WEB
But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry. 2 Timothy 4:5 WEB
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 WEB
Our heartfelt prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this family and their teenage daughter who is struggling with anger and moodiness. Lord, we know that You love this young woman and her family dearly, and that You have a plan and a purpose for her life. We ask, Lord, that You would soften her heart and help her to see the love and support that her parents are offering.
We pray for guidance and wisdom for her parents. Help them to navigate this challenging time with patience, love, and understanding. Show them the right thing to do and give them the strength to do it. Help them to set a godly example for their daughter, and to lead her in the way she should go.
Lord, we also pray for healing for this young woman. If there are any underlying issues causing her anger and moodiness, we ask that You would reveal them and provide a way for her to find help and healing. We pray that You would give her parents the grace to intervene in their daughter's life without pushing her away. We ask that the medication and counseling will be accepted and successful. We pray that she will learn to control her emotions and be able to overcome them.
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to show your daughter love and support, even if she pushes you away. Remind her that you are there for her, no matter what. Continue to pray for her and with her, and trust that God is at work in her life.
Do not be tempted to get angry or frustrated with her. Remember that it is not her but the sin that is living in her that is causing her to act this way.
The most important thing you can do is pray for her heart to be softened. We are reminded:
A wise son hears his father's instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke. Proverbs 13:1 NIV
Keep in mind that God can work in the hearts and minds of our children in a way that we never can. Trust in Him, and know that He is always working for the good of those who love Him.
Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Colossians 3:12-13 WEB

Dr. ### has written a book about raising a teen. It is very effective. “Have a new teenager by Friday”.
He has many books about the subject and all have gotten great reviews. He is a Christian Doctor.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
