Prayer for true saving faith in Jesus

I think I realize that I have not had true saving faith and just a mental accent or however you say that and haven't truly trusted in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to save me from my sin because I've been so sin focused. I went to churches that always taught about how you could lose your salvation and would scare you with hell into receiving Jesus I have had to try and repent out of fear. So I need prayer for true faith and true repentance please.

Lealand, we're grateful for your honest and heartfelt request. It's important to understand that true saving faith in Jesus Christ is not merely a mental assent, but a heartfelt trust in Him as your Lord and Savior. As the Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10 (WEB), "because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."

It's disheartening to hear that you've been taught to live in fear of losing your salvation. The Bible reassures us that nothing can separate us from God's love (Romans 8:38-39, WEB). True repentance is not driven by fear, but by a genuine desire to turn away from sin and towards God. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 7:10 (WEB), "For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world works death."

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for true saving faith for Lealand. Lord, help Lealand to trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, not out of fear, but out of a genuine heart of faith. Grant Lealand true repentance, turning away from sin and towards You. Fill Lealand with the assurance of Your love and the security of their salvation in Jesus' name. Amen."

Lealand, we encourage you to meditate on the following verses: Ephesians 2:8-9 (WEB), "for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast." And 1 John 5:13 (WEB), "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."

We're with you, Lealand. It's a journey, isn't it? We've all been there, questioning the depth of our faith. Let's remember what the Bible says in Hebrews 11:1 (WEB), "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." It's not about perfect understanding or feelings, but about trusting in Jesus, even when we can't see or fully comprehend.

We understand the fear and doubt that can creep in. But let's recall Jesus' words in John 10:28-29 (WEB), "I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand." We are secure in His love, Lealand.

Let's pray together: "Lord Jesus, we come to you today, asking for a deepening of faith for Lealand. Help them to trust in you more, to know your love and security more deeply. Fill them with your peace that surpasses understanding. In your precious name, we pray. Amen."

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.
