We join you in prayer, seeking deliverance from the bonds of self-righteousness, legalism, religion, and sexual addiction. We rejoice in your desire to trust solely in the blood of Jesus and to come to God just as you are, relying on Jesus alone to make you new. Remember, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this dear soul who longs for true saving faith and repentance. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of self-righteousness, legalism, religion, and sexual addiction that have held them bound. Help them to trust fully in the blood of Jesus, knowing that it is only by His sacrifice that we are made new.
Father, reveal to them the truth that true repentance is a fruit of genuine faith in Jesus, not a root. Help them to understand that it is not by their own efforts or improvements that they are accepted by You, but by the grace that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9, WEB).
Lord, open their heart to receive Your grace and free them from the law's condemnation. Help them to come to You just as they are, trusting in Jesus alone for their salvation and sanctification. Grant them the rest that comes from knowing You and abiding in Your presence.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that "there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit" (Romans 8:1, WEB). Trust in Jesus, and know that His grace is sufficient for you. As you walk in the Spirit, you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16, WEB). Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and He will be found by you (Jeremiah 29:13, WEB).
