We understand that you're feeling anxious about your workday, but we want to encourage you to trust in God's plan for you. Jesus tells us, "Don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:31-33 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling dread and anxiety about their workday. We ask that you will comfort them with your perfect peace and remind them of their value and purpose in you. Help them to trust in your plan and to cast all their anxieties on you, knowing that you care for them.
"Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
We ask that you will bless their workday, that you will give them the strength and wisdom to complete their tasks, and that they will be a light for you in their workplace. Help them to seek your Kingdom and righteousness above all else and to trust in your provision and goodness.
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:23-24 WEB
We thank you for your faithfulness and for the peace that comes from trusting in you. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
Remember, God is always with you and will give you the strength to face whatever comes your way. Trust in him and seek his will in all that you do. If you do not already know the Lord Jesus as your savior, make sure you have asked him to be your Lord.
