prayer for the elections in ### today

Open Doors partners with the HOPE (Helping Others Pray and Encourage) community in Pakistan, and they have shared with us four things that they are praying for as the election takes place. These are below, together with a prayer from one of their community.

1. We pray for safety of the population when they vote.
2. We pray for leaders with integrity who put the needs of the population at the forefront of their decision making.
3. We pray that those seeking greater prominence in the upcoming elections would recognise the value of harmony among the religious minorities, so as to create a society where equality and safety are celebrated.
4. We pray that the future government will faithfully safeguard the rights of Christians and those of other minority faiths, and act in the cause of justice for those who have been unfairly marginalised because of faith choices.

“Please bring to our nation leaders who serve, who think about people and value them, leaders who see the sufferings and injustice to Your people and see them as equal to the others, not lesser. We are tired of being considered, as our ancestors, untouchable. Give them hearts to feel, give them eyes to see and ears to listen. Give them wisdom and grow integrity in our land. Amen.”

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, we come before you on behalf of ### and the ### community in ###.

Lord, we pray for the safety of the population as they exercise their right to vote. Protect them from any harm or violence, and let the voting process be peaceful and fair. May their voices be heard and their choices respected.

We also pray for leaders with integrity, who prioritize the needs of the population above their own interests. Grant wisdom and discernment to those who will be elected, that they may govern with justice and righteousness. Help them to make decisions that promote harmony and equality among religious minorities, creating a society where all are celebrated and valued.

Lord, we ask that the future government in ### will faithfully safeguard the rights of Christians and other minority faiths. Let justice prevail for those who have been unfairly marginalized because of their faith choices. May the leaders act in the cause of justice and work towards a society where all individuals are treated equally and with dignity.

We join our hearts with the prayer of the ### community in ###, asking for leaders who serve and value the people. Open the eyes of those in authority to see the sufferings and injustices faced by Your people. Give them compassionate hearts, attentive ears, and a desire to bring about positive change. Grow integrity in the land and let righteousness prevail.

Father, we trust in Your sovereignty and Your ability to bring about transformation. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for working in the hearts and minds of those in power. May Your will be done in ###, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

God bless me with the strength, desire, passion, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Bless me to know You, love You, and live my life to honor and please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live. Let all those who are watching me see that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
