We are truly saddened to hear about the struggle your son and many others are facing with addiction. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's deliverance and healing for your son and all those ensnared by addiction. Let us remember that God is faithful and that there is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain of bondage.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise in John 8:36 WEB: "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." Freedom from addiction is possible through Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the son of the one who submitted this request, as well as all those who are struggling with addiction. Lord, You see the pain and the struggle, and You know the path to freedom. We pray that You will deliver them from this bondage and help them find a future filled with hope and promise.
Father, we also lift up the parents and families affected by this struggle. Grant them peace that surpasses all understanding, and fill them with Your strength and wisdom as they support their loved ones. Give parents the knowledge and wisdom to set a good example and instruct their children in the way they should go as the Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 WEB.
Lord, we know that true freedom comes from knowing You. We pray that each person struggling with addiction will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We know that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 WEB. But, we are all saved as a gift from God by His grace when we believe, Romans 3:24 WEB. We know that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB. In Jesus name we pray that all may be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray for complete deliverance, healing, and restoration. We fight against the spiritual forces of evil influencing this addiction, and we declare victory in Jesus' name. We know that our struggle is not merely against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces, Ephesians 6:12-13 WEB. Thank you Jesus for already winning the victory on the cross, Colossians 2:13-15 WEB.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God's promise. Remember the words of Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB where God encourages us to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might and to put on the whole armor of God. Stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you.
If your son has not accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, share the good news with him and encourage him to turn to Jesus for true freedom and salvation.
Remember that you are not alone in this battle. We are standing with you in prayer, believing for God's intervention and deliverance. Stay strong in faith and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Hebrews 12:2 WEB.
