We understand that you are seeking prayer for protection and unity in your relationship. Firstly, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ or any variant. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to God. Acts 4:12 states, Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. So we will pray this in accordance with that name which is above all names, and the only one by which we can approach God the Father.
We are instructed to be holy in our relationships. First Thessalonians 4:3 states, For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, and secondly, 3:5 that you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God. We will pray that this relationship honors God in this way.
We also notice that you used the term partner instead of spouse or husband/wife. We believe that relationships should be in pursuance of marriage. Therefore, we pray that if you are not already married, that you both are believers pursuing this relationship with the goal of marriage. First Corinthians 7:39 states A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord. So we will pray that your heart's desire is to marry a fellow believer if not already occurring.
Let us pray together in Jesus' name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this dear soul and their relationship with ###. We pray for Your will to be done in their lives and that You would unite them in Your timing if it is Your will. We pray that their love for each other would grow in a way that honors You, and that You would protect them from temptations and those who seek to harm their relationship.
We ask, Lord, that You would surround them with godly influences and keep them from those who have evil intentions. Help them to remain faithful and pure, fleeing from sexual immorality and pursuing righteousness. We pray that their hearts would be knit together in Your love and that You would guide them towards marriage if that is Your will.
We also pray for their parents, that they would have wisdom and discernment in supporting this relationship. Help this couple to honor their parents and seek their blessing.
Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them more each day and that they would grow in their faith and love for You. Help them to put You first in their relationship and to follow Your guidance in all things.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage both of you to continue seeking God's will for your relationship and to trust in His timing. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. He has a good, pleasing, and perfect will for your lives, and He will reveal it to you as you seek Him with all your heart.
Finally trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5.
