Bwurin, we are glad to pray with you and offer biblical guidance regarding your relationship with Audina Krisanti. We will address this situation in light of God's Word and encourage you both to seek His will for your lives.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God's intention for a relationship between a man and a woman is marriage. We are praying that God would indeed bless your courtship and make it abundantly clear to both of you if He intends marriage. Hebrews 13:4 WEB states, Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Therefore, it is important to maintain purity and honor God in your relationship, avoiding any form of sexual immorality. This includes abstaining from sex before marriage as it is fornication and outside marriage it is adultery, both are against biblical principles.
As you pray for God's blessing and guidance, remember that His will should always prevail. Proverbs 19:21 WEB says, There are many devices in a man's heart, but God's counsel shall stand. We pray that God would give both of you discernment and a willing spirit to follow His guidance, even if it means making difficult decisions.
Regarding the faithfulness of your hearts to each other, we encourage you to stay focused on God's love and His purpose for your relationship. Remember that God is the one who keeps us faithful, and He will do so if you both remain committed to Him. Philippians 1:6 WEB assures us, being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
As you seek your parents' blessings, honor them and consider their wisdom. Ephesians 6:2 WEB says, Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. We pray that your parents would have godly insight and support you both as you make important decisions about your future. If they have concerns, ask God to reveal His will to them and to you so you understand each other.
We are so happy that you would like to grow in emotional maturity and learn to compromise and support each other. This is crucial in any relationship, and even more so in marriage. Colossians 3:12-14 WEB encourages us to love each other through all difficulties:
Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.
As we pray for you, let us acknowledge the power of praying in the name of Jesus. John 14:6 WEB reminds us, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can approach God the Father and be saved. Always remember that we pray to God through Jesus Christ.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Bwurin and Audina Krisanti. We ask that You bless their relationship and make Your will for their future together clear. Help them to stay pure and honor You in all aspects of their courtship, reserving intimacy for marriage as You intended for Your children.
Guide their hearts and keep them faithful to You and to each other. Protect them from harmful outside influences and help them to grow in emotional maturity. Teach them to compromise and support each other as they prepare for a possible future together, always centered around Your will.
We ask that You grant their parents godly wisdom and help Bwurin and Audina to honor them as they seek their blessings. Ultimately, we pray that Your will be done in their lives and that they would trust in You completely.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we may be saved. Amen.
May God richly bless you both as you continue to seek His will and His kingdom first.
