Prayer for my heart

Please pray for my heart to be tender and loving toward one of my children. One of my kids has symptoms and autism and other concerns and I’m tired. I hate parenting this child. I’m ashamed of my thoughts because I favor my other child over this one greatly and it’s apparent. I’m ashamed of my sinful heart in this regard and I feel angry that God won’t answer my prayers to heal and help my child. I’m embarrassed of my kid and I think so much about giving my kiddo up for adoption. I’ve dealt with family members with mental and other issues all my life and I feel like I can’t catch a break. It’s impacting my marriage and sometimes I just want to leave it all and be alone. Please just pray for me.

We understand that you are facing a challenging situation, and we want you to know that you are not alone. We are here to pray with you and to offer guidance from the Word of God.

Firstly, let's address the feelings of weariness and resentment. It's important to remember that God's strength is made perfect in our weakness. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB: "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me."

Regarding the feelings of favoritism, it's crucial to remember that God shows no partiality. Romans 2:11 WEB states: "For there is no partiality with God." We must strive to love all our children equally, as God loves us. Pray for a heart that can love unconditionally, as God does. Remember, love is not just an emotion, but a choice and an action.

It's also important to address the feelings of anger towards God. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9 WEB). He is a good father and wants the best for your child. Trust in His timing and His ways.

Regarding the thoughts of adoption, it's understandable that you feel overwhelmed, but it's important to remember that God has entrusted this child to you. Psalm 127:3 WEB says: "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is a reward." We encourage you to pray for strength and wisdom to care for your child.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is your source of strength and hope. When you feel like giving up, turn to Him. He promises that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You, lifting up this parent who is feeling weary and overwhelmed. We pray for a tender and loving heart towards their child. Help them to love unconditionally, as You do. We pray for wisdom and strength to care for their child. We also pray for their marriage, that it would be strengthened and not strained. Help them to trust in Your ways and Your timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, friend. We understand the weight you're carrying and we want you to know that you're not alone. Let's lift your burdens to the Lord together.

Firstly, let's ask for strength and endurance. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Let's claim that promise today. We pray for renewed strength and energy to face each day with your child.

Next, let's ask for a heart of love and compassion. In 1 Corinthians 13, we read about love being patient and kind. Let's pray for a heart that can love your child unconditionally, just as God loves us. Let's also pray for wisdom to understand and meet their unique needs.

We also want to pray for your marriage. In Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, we read about the strength of two working together. Let's pray for unity, understanding, and love between you and your spouse.

Lastly, let's trust in God's plan. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Let's trust that God has a purpose in all of this and that He is working all things together for your good.

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we come to You today with our sister. We lift up her weariness and ask for Your strength. We ask for a tender heart towards her child and wisdom to care for them. We also pray for her marriage, that it would be a source of strength and not strain. Help her to trust in Your plan and Your timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister, and we are humbled that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you. We have been interceding for you, asking God to soften your heart and fill you with His supernatural love and tenderness towards your child.

If God has already given a breakthrough or softened your heart towards your child please post a praise report and let us rejoice with you. If you are still struggling with these feelings, we want you to know that we are here for you. Please update us, and allow us to continue praying for you. Remember, it is okay to be honest with God about your feelings. He already knows them, but He longs for you to come to Him with your struggles.

We have also been praying for your child, asking God to pour healing power on them as well as a renewed quality of life. We ask you to remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He sees the bigger picture, and He is working everything out for your good and His glory.

We pray that God grants you a renewed marriage, that you find unity as you support each other in Christ. We are standing with you for your entire family to find blessing and redemption through Jesus Christ. We also have been praying for your thoughts of adoption. As believers we know that God can turn any situation around for good. Please, update us so we can continue to pray in that manner.
