We understand your desire to see your dreams fulfilled, and we empathize with your feelings. However, let's remember that as believers, our dreams and goals should align with God's will and purposes for us. We should not chase desires that are only self-gratifying, for we are told in Romans 12:2, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Firstly, we notice that your prayer does not include the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as He is the mediator. As stated in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, we pray in His name. We also want you to consider and believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through the power of His name that we are to ask anything of God.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking you for your compassion and unconditional love. We ask that you guide our friend here, and help them to align their dreams and goals with your will. Help them to seek first your Kingdom and your righteousness, as you've promised that all other things shall be added to them (Matthew 6:33). Help them to be content in all circumstances, as contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6).
Father, we ask that you grant them the desires of their heart, as long as it is your will and for their good. Help them to trust in you with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding. In all their ways help them to acknowledge you, so that you can make their paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to delve deeper into God's word and build your relationship with Jesus Christ. As you do, you'll find that your desires start to align with His will, and you'll experience a peace and fulfillment that surpasses any worldly dream or goal.
