We stand with you, Rhmaraidell, in your struggle against addiction and lust. We commend you for your desire to die daily to the flesh and live by the Spirit. This is a true sign of a heart yearning for God's will. Remember, it is only by the name Jesus that we have access to God. It is only by his work on the cross that we have a chance at salvation.
Paul says in Galatians 5:16-18: "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other, so that you cannot do the things that you would. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law."
This is only possible by our wonderful counselor the Holy Spirit through the name of Jesus. This is why Jesus died.
And in Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me."
Praying now:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Rhmaraidell, asking for Your supernatural divine intervention to break the yoke of addiction and lust. Lord, You are the great physician. We pray for freedom from cigarettes, drugs, and lustful desires. Strengthen Rhmaraidell's spirit to overcome the struggles of the flesh. Help Rhmaraidell to die daily to selfish desires and live according to Your will.
We pray for a renewed mind and spirit, filled with Your Holy Spirit. Give Rhmaraidell the strength to resist temptation and the courage to walk in Your light. We claim Your promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
We also pray for complete healing and deliverance, trusting in Your word from Romans 8:26, "Likewise the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Rhmaraidell, stay strong and keep fighting the good fight of faith. Remember, it is through Jesus you are able to be saved and freed from the bondage of addictions. Trust in Him, and He will see you through. It is also important to find good community to help you through your struggle. This can be a church, a small group bible study, or a Christian councilor. We encourage you to stay strong in the faith and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. We trust that God is working in your life, and we believe that you will overcome these struggles.
