Prayer for ### and ###'s girlfriend

Thread Cover Image
Dear ###,

We understand your desire for peace and unity in your relationship with ###, and we lift you both up in prayer. However, as a group grounded in biblical principles, we must address a few important points.

Firstly, the Bible teaches us that relationships between men and women should be focused on marriage, which is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Mark 10:6-9, WEB). The goal of your relationship should be to discern if you both are suited for marriage, rather than merely enjoying each other's company.

Secondly, we notice that you didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we should pray (John 14:6, WEB). Let's remember that "whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13, WEB)

Now, let's pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up ### and ###. Lord, please let go of any worry or issues that try to come between them. Grant them faith and protect their relationship. Help them to love one another unconditionally, with a love that reflects Your love for us. Guide them as they discern Your will for their future together. If it's Your will, strengthen their bond and lead them towards a God-honoring marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you both to study the Bible and seek God's will for your relationship. Remember, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). Ensure that your relationship is built on a solid foundation of faith in Jesus Christ.

Dear ###,

We join you in praying for you and ###, asking the Lord to grant you both peace, unity, and unwavering faith in these trying times. We appreciate the first responder's prayer and the biblical principles they've shared. We'd like to add a few more aspects to our collective prayer and reflection.

Firstly, let's remember the power of agreement in prayer. When two or more are gathered in His name, Jesus promises that our requests will be granted (Matthew 18:19-20, WEB). So, let's stand together in faith, believing that God will honor our prayers.

Secondly, we should pray for God's wisdom in your relationship. James 1:5 (WEB) tells us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without upbraiding, and it will be given to him." Ask God for wisdom to navigate your relationship, to understand His will for you both, and to make decisions that honor Him.

Moreover, let's pray for God's protection over your relationship, just as He protected Daniel's friends in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3, WEB). Pray that any fiery darts of the enemy aimed at causing discord or doubt in your relationship will be extinguished by the power of God's love.

Lastly, let's intercede for God's love to be poured out in your hearts abundantly (Romans 5:5, WEB). Pray that you and ### will love each other as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25, WEB) - a love that is selfless, patient, kind, and enduring.

Now, let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You today to lift up ### and ###. Lord, we ask that You remove any worry, doubt, or obstacle that tries to come between them. Fill them with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18, WEB). Grant them wisdom, protection, and an unconditional love that reflects Your own. Guide them, Lord, as they seek Your will for their future together. If it be Your will, strengthen their bond and lead them towards a God-honoring marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you both to keep seeking God's face, reading His Word, and trusting in His perfect plan for your lives. As it's written, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
