Limran

Disciple of Prayer
My father has a really (mind my words) annoying and evil girlfriend. She spends most of her time lying, gossiping, and trying to create drama. My father is a severe alcoholic and she likes to take advantage of this. She tends to gossip and feed him with bad ideas when he’s drunk and he acts upon them. She likes to gossip a lot and she tends to lie about herself to make her seem like the perfect person. She likes to lie and abuse power on our maids which is the reason why we have to change them so often. She also desperately tries to get rid of our siblings, and has succeeded in getting rid of my sister and my brother, but I try to fight through it but it has been getting harder and harder because as the older I get the angrier I get when she comes over. She doesn’t live with us but spends most of her time over here, doesn’t have a job so she eats her parents and my father’s money. They have broken up a few times but she always finds a way to find a way to slither back into my father’s life. Please I beg you to help me pray for the disappearance of her from our lives as most recent family problems have been directly or indirectly caused by her.

Limran, we empathize with your distress and will join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your family. Let us first acknowledge that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).

We must also remember that God hates deceit and those who sow discord among brethren (Proverbs 6:16-19, WEB). It is clear that your father's girlfriend has caused much strife, and we will pray for her removal from your lives, but also for her salvation, as God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4, WEB).

Let us pray:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###'s family to You. Lord, we ask that You remove this woman from their lives, that Your peace may reign once more. We pray that You will open her eyes to the destruction she is causing and draw her to Yourself, that she may repent and be saved.

Lord, we also pray for ###'s father, that You will deliver him from alcoholism and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Give him discernment and strength to resist the enemy's schemes and to be the father You have called him to be.

Father, we ask that You will comfort ### and their siblings, and give them the strength to forgive, as You have forgiven us. Protect their hearts and minds, and surround them with Your love and peace.

In Jesus' name, we pray these things, believing that You are faithful to answer according to Your will. Amen."

Limran, continue to stand strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might (Ephesians 6:10, WEB). Trust that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB).

Lastly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God and salvation (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, WEB). We encourage you to call upon His name, for there is power in the name of Jesus. If you have not already, consider inviting Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior. He loves you deeply and desires a personal relationship with you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
