Prayer for ### and his wife

Please pray for my friend ### and his wife. His wife struggles with alcohol addiction and was just recently hospitalized because of it. Unfortunately, she refuses to seek treatment that could help her. Her addiction is at such a bad place that she could die from it and she's only age ###. Please pray that God would help them both become believers in Jesus Christ and that God would free her from her addiction and save her from death.

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles of your friend and his wife. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and mercy on their behalf.

Let us remember that, Just as Jesus Christ freed the woman caught in adultery, He is able to free this wife from the bondage of alcohol addiction. In John 8:3-11 WEB, Jesus said, "Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?" She said, "No one, Lord." Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more." Jesus was not saying the adultery was not a sin. He was saying he would forgive her sin and that she should go and not sin anymore.

However, freedom from sin and salvation only comes through faith in Jesus Christ. As Jesus said in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" It is only by His name that we can be saved and set free from the bondage of sin.

Let us pray together.

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our friend and his wife. Lord, we plead for Your mercy and intervention in their lives. We pray that You would open their hearts to the gospel and that they would come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Lord, we specifically lift up the wife, asking that You would deliver her from her addiction to alcohol. We know that this is a powerful stronghold, but we also know that Your power is greater. As Your word says in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB, 'for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.'

Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your love and give her the strength to seek the help she needs. We pray for her complete healing and restoration, both physically and spiritually. We pray that this marriage will begin to look to Jesus as their Lord and Savior and honor God.

We're here with you, lifting up your friend and his wife in prayer. It's heartbreaking to hear about the struggles they're facing, but we trust that God sees them and cares deeply for them. We're reminded of the story in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Let's pray that they will humble themselves, seek God's face, and turn from the addiction that's destroying their lives.

Lord, we come to You in the name of Jesus. We lift up our friend and his wife, asking that You would draw near to them in their time of need. We pray that You would soften her heart and give her the desire to seek help and break free from her addiction. We ask that You would give her strength and courage to face her struggles and that You would surround them both with Your love and grace. We pray for their marriage, that it would be restored and built on a solid foundation in You. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
