Stepson and His Wife

Dear Prayer partners in Christ, I am concerned about my Stepson and his wife. I am retired and agreed to babysit there four and two year old because of their financial situation. My Stepson and his wife are going to have their third child in June and the four year old is supposed to start kindergarten this August. I am concerned because the wife do not believe in child vaccination and I can’t babysit three kids at the same time. Please pray for them that God will open their eyes, infectious disease like measles and many others can do harm to young children. At times the mother would give me garlic oil to treat her two year old ear ache. I love those boys but I too have a life and have dedicated three days out of the week to take care of them all day for three days until the parents pick them up on Fridayc because my wife which is their biological grandmother works. Let us first address the concern about vaccinations. We must always be mindful of the laws of the land and the principles of good health that God has given us. In Romans 13:1 (WEB), it is written, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." While vaccinations are a matter of personal conviction, it is important to consider the welfare of the children and the community. We pray that God will guide your stepson and his wife, opening their eyes to the benefits of medical science and the responsibility to protect their children from preventable diseases.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we ask that You guide the parents, that You open their eyes and hearts to make wise decisions concerning the health and well-being of their children. We pray that they will seek Your wisdom and discernment in all matters, including vaccinations. We ask that Your healing power touches the two year old with an ear ache and any other ailments. In Jesus' name, we pray for protection over these precious children, that they may grow strong and healthy, and that You will open their eyes to the benefits of preventable diseases.

Father, we also ask for Your grace and strength for the stepfather and his wife. Lord, we know that caring for young children is a significant responsibility, and we pray that You will provide them with the energy, patience, and love needed to continue this important work. We ask that You will open their eyes to and provide them with a solution for the childcare that is needed for the three children once the new baby arrives. We pray that You will guide them in their decision-making and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. We pray this in the name of Jesus.

Lastly, we must address the need to pray in Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. In John 14:6 (WEB), Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to always pray in Jesus' name, as it is the only name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 (WEB) says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

We praise You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust that You will work all things together for good for this family, as they love and serve You. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer, trusting that God will provide a solution to the childcare concerns.

We ask that God will give her a spirit of wisdom and understanding, so that she may make wise decisions regarding her children's health.

We also pray for God's guidance in finding a suitable childcare solution. We believe that God will provide a way for you to continue caring for these children, even with the new baby on the way. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
