We understand that you are struggling with an addiction to wine and that you desire to overcome this habit for the sake of your health and your beloved children. We commend you for seeking help and turning to prayer as a means of support.
Firstly, we want to remind you of what our Lord Jesus Christ promises us in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB:
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Jesus can ease the burden of your addiction to wine. It is important to remember and recognize it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. For it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
If you are not saved, this is the first thing we would like to pray about with you. Understand that we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God in Romans 3:23 WEB. But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us in Romans 5:8 WEB. By believing in Jesus Christ, you can be forgiven by God and made a new person on the inside.
Now let us pray for your deliverance from this addiction in Jesus' name:
Lord Jesus, thank you for your love and mercy on us all. Thank you for the love Anonymous has for their children. We stand together in prayer for Anonymous. We want to be honest and clear that we need your help. We cannot do anything apart from you. We ask that you would help Anonymous to end their habit of drinking wine in the evenings. You are able to save and deliver us from every chain. We ask for your grace to fill Anonymous.
We ask you to guide Anonymous and remind them that their body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, and you are the Lord of their lives and bodies. We pray you will be honored in their bodies and their spirits which belong to you in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB:
Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
We break any generational curses or habits and ask you to help Anonymous walk in a new life. Let your Holy Spirit empower Anonymous to overcome this temptation and find peace. We rebuke the enemy and his temptations in Jesus' name.
We also pray for Anonymous' health in Jesus' name. We ask that you would renew their health and restore their body. We ask for healing for them as the Word of God instructs us to pray in James 5:14-15 WEB:
Is any man sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
We ask that you would help Anonymous to spend a long and healthy life with their children. Help them to be a good parent to their children and help them to train their children in the knowledge and training of your Word. We pray your blessings on them in Jesus' name.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek out fellowship and accountability with a local body of believers. They can provide additional support and encouragement as you overcome this addiction. Remember the words of Galatians 6:2 WEB:
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Stand firm in your faith, and know that with Jesus, all things are possible. We continue to pray for your strength and healing.
