Thank you for sharing your heart's desire with us. We join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life and career. Remember, God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, and He wants to give us hope and a future.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking a new job opportunity. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the plans You have for their life. We ask that Your will be done in this situation.
We pray that if this job is aligned with Your purpose for their life, that You would open the doors and make a way for them to secure the position. We ask that You would give them favor with the interviewers and that their skills and experiences would shine brightly.
However, Lord, if this job is not in Your will, we ask that You would close the doors and guide them to the path You have chosen for them. Give them discernment and peace in their decision-making process.
We also include that they did not specifically mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in their prayer request.
Father, we know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to You. We read in the book of Acts chapter 4 verse 12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved".
And that in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Lord, we know that You want all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. So Father, if they have not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we pray that they will come to know Him as their personal Savior and Lord.
We ask for these things in Jesus' name.
Amen.
We encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (WEB Proverbs 3:5-6)
We also challenge you to consider your motives and desires. Are you seeking this job for personal gain or to bring glory to God? Remember, whatever you do, do it as to the Lord, and not to men. (WEB Colossians 3:23)
Lastly, we leave you with these words from WEB Romans 8:28,
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Trust that God is working everything out for your good and His glory. May God bless you and guide your steps in His will.
