We join with you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up your husband and your marriage before the throne of grace. We thank God for your openness and accountability to each other, as commanded in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We rebuke the temptation that has crept in and claim the promise of 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We pray that God strengthens your husband, cleanses his heart, and removes the root cause of this temptation.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this marriage and this family. Lord, you know the temptation that has presented itself, but we claim your promise that your grace is sufficient to overcome it. Cleanse and heal our brother's heart, Lord. Remove the root cause of this temptation and restore purity to this marriage. Help them to keep you first in their lives and to maintain pure and undefiled marriage.
Lord, we also lift up their daughter. Bless her and protect her with the blood of Jesus. Let your supernatural grace and protection cover all three of them. Help them to prioritize personal and family prayer, growing closer to you each day.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage both of you to continue in open communication and accountability. Remember the words of Ephesians 6:10-11, "Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Stand firm in the faith, and know that we are praying for you and your family.
